PageRank

PageRank for Telegram channels works like Google's PageRank algorithm adapted for the Telegram mention graph. It scores channels not just by how many channels mention them, but by the importance of those mentioning channels. A mention from a large, well-cited channel carries more weight than one from a small, unknown channel.

Why it matters

PageRank distinguishes true authority from manufactured popularity. A channel could get many mentions through spam or reciprocal deals, but PageRank weights those mentions by the authority of the source. It reveals which channels sit at the center of information flow in their niche.

How to use it

Compare PageRank values within the same category or language. The scale is logarithmic β€” small differences represent large gaps in influence. A PageRank of 0.01 vs 0.001 means roughly 10x more influence.

Example

Two crypto channels each have 100 mentions. But channel A is mentioned by top news outlets and influential analysts (PageRank: 0.0150), while channel B is mentioned by small, unknown channels (PageRank: 0.0008). Channel A has far greater real influence.
